On 27 May 2026, National University “Chernihiv Polytechnic” ran an interactive roadshow in the village of Ivanivka, Chernihiv region, as part of the WIN2EDIH project, bringing together local youth, community members, and the project team.
The event featured the #TOLOCAR mobile lab — a specially equipped vehicle carrying prototyping and makerspace tools. Participants worked across two stations. At the 3D modelling and additive technology station, they learned the principles of spatial design using Tinkercad software, then turned their digital concepts into physical objects through 3D printing, exploring the layer-by-layer printing process. At the woodworking and open-design furniture station, community members worked together, under expert guidance, to assemble tables — picking up carpentry skills and learning the ergonomic principles behind furniture the community can reproduce on its own.
“Chernihiv Polytechnic acts as an open ecosystem, removing barriers and shortening the distance between rural youth and advanced technology,” the university noted.
The initiative showed the synergy between academia, local business, and the community in driving the region’s digital transformation, with both sides agreeing to continue the cooperation.
