Panel Discussion: How European Digital Innovation Hubs Transform Business and the Public Sector

On 7 May 2026, a panel discussion titled “How European Digital Innovation Hubs Transform Business and the Public Sector” was held in Kyiv at UNIT.City and online, as part of “Digital Europe 2026.” Participants included representatives of the European Commission, Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation, digital hubs, business and the startup ecosystem, and the WIN2EDIH project team.

Artem Krasenko, representing the startup Metaenga and heading the virtual reality lab at Chernihiv Polytechnic’s Center for Immersive Technologies, shared his practical experience working with the WIN2EDIH hub. He explained that the collaboration began with specialized training on platform team-building, digital processes, and the legal aspects of Deep Tech and AI.

According to Krasenko, European Digital Innovation Hubs function as “comprehensive support mechanisms” that let startups test innovations, find partners, and receive expert guidance before committing to large-scale investment.

The discussion illustrated how collaboration between Ukrainian startups and European Digital Innovation Hubs strengthens SME competitiveness and supports the adoption of Deep Tech solutions and digital integration.
