WIN2EDIH Venture Investment Day: “From Idea to Investment Readiness”

On 24 June 2026, Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman hosted a hybrid Venture Investment Day, “From Idea to Investment Readiness,” as part of the WIN2EDIH project.

The event brought together student startups, innovation teams, entrepreneurs, scholars, and representatives of small and medium businesses working on innovative projects and venture funding.

The main workshop was led by venture investor Igor Porokh, who spoke on what investors actually look for in startups: evaluation criteria, factors behind a project’s investment appeal, common founder mistakes, and how to prepare an effective investment pitch.

A “Venture Clinic” session reviewed the winning projects from the IDEAFEST-2026 competition:

— Rocky, a multifunctional mini-robot developed by KNEU IT Institute students Oleksiy Lytvynenko and Vasyl Oliynyk;
— Cryptelix, an AI analytics platform for traders, created by students Dmytro Samolichenko and Ivan Solodkovskyi.

Notable guests included Victoria von Rosen, Vice President of the German-Ukrainian Society for Economics and Science; Vyacheslav Bykovets, General Director of the Union of Small, Medium and Privatized Enterprises of Ukraine; and Oleksandr Krestyaniv of SVARMED, who presented an innovative biotissue-welding technology for surgery.

The event closed with networking, giving participants the chance to build professional connections and discuss collaboration opportunities for developing Ukraine’s innovation ecosystem.
