On 5–6 June 2026, Chișinău, Moldova, hosted Moldova Digital Summit 2026. A KNEU team comprising Professor Denys Ilnytskyi and Tetiana Maiorova was invited to the practical workshop “EDIH in Action: Powering Digital Transformation for SMEs,” one of the summit’s key sessions.
Participants included representatives of GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) offices in Ukraine and Moldova, EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, Moldova’s Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Eugeniu Osmochescu.
The workshop covered process optimization through the digitization of transport, logistics, and customs and border procedures; regional partnerships under the DT4SME and EasTnT initiatives; AI in education and payments; data infrastructure and cybersecurity; digital wallets; and EdTech development in Moldova.
Digital innovation hubs are now integrated into Moldova’s SME Digitalization Roadmap for 2025–2026. The KNEU team built direct contacts with digital solution providers and international counterparts through matchmaking sessions and discussions.
