On 17 June 2026, Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman (KNEU) hosted the scientific-practical forum “Paradigm of Economic Security in Times of Global Transformation,” held to mark the university’s 120th anniversary.
The forum brought together representatives of the academic community, state institutions, business, and the expert environment to discuss today’s economic security challenges — extending beyond financial stability to technological independence, digital resilience, and cybersecurity. Participants examined the EU’s new approach to security built around the “Promote – Protect – Partner” principles, as well as plans to establish a Security Research Institute at KNEU for interdisciplinary research spanning economic, financial, digital, cyber, and social security.
KNEU’s pro-rector specifically highlighted the role of the European Digital Innovation Hub WIN2EDIH, which focuses on developing digital security and cyber resilience. The project supports the digital transformation of enterprises and organizations through the adoption of modern technologies, development of digital competencies, innovation support, and preparing the economy for technological challenges.
WIN2EDIH is funded by the European Union under the Digital Europe programme (grant agreement No. 101191647).
