On 27–28 May 2026, the Fifth City Forum PRO:Kyiv 2030 was held under the theme “Human Capital, Innovation, and Europe’s Development Vector.” Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman and the WIN2EDIH project team took part.
KNEU Rector Dmytro Lukianenko delivered opening remarks. Vice-Rector for Research Larysa Antoniuk, who leads the WIN2EDIH project at KNEU, presented on “The Capital’s Innovation Ecosystem.”
Participants discussed city development strategies, human capital and education, innovation and digital transformation, the post-war reconstruction of the capital, cooperation between science, government, and community, and emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, creative industries, the space economy, digital services, quantum technologies, and fintech.
Antoniuk emphasized universities’ role as centres of knowledge, talent development, and entrepreneurship. The discussion highlighted European Digital Innovation Hubs and WIN2EDIH specifically as tools supporting digital transformation across business, education, and the public sector. The forum resulted in new partnerships and joint solutions for Kyiv’s sustainable, innovation-driven development.
